Maui Ocean Club Newly Renovated 2BR Ocean View

We were very pleased to be assigned a newly renovated unit on the 4th floor in Lanai wing when we checked in to Maui Ocean Club today. Here are some quick pics.

First are a couple pics of the Living Room/Mini-Kitchen. Nice flooring and new furniture. Same kitchen cabinets and appliances as before.

Next is the Master Bedroom:

Yes it does. It has an ottoman, but if you move the ottoman, the chair can fold out to a twin.

Is the microwave above the sink just a regular microwave or a convection oven too?
Looks like there is a small coffee maker and a blender- any other small appliances?

We had a room like that too on our visit in November. The new furnishings are an improvement and are less kitschy than the old stuff.

There had been rumors that the plumbing and electrical system replacements would have enabled a little more significant remodel, maybe with a washer/dryer shoehorned in somewhere, but sadly the room features remain unchanged. But it’s a decent renovation I think.

Yep. Good eye. Got it at Ocean Pointe in March 2021.

The recent electrical upgrade will allow for a two burner cooktop. The kitchens (appliances, countertops, and cabinetry) aren’t scheduled for an upgrade until at least 2027 or 2028 based on what we were told at a General Manager’s update two years ago. He said they had increased annual reserve funding to begin accruing for the cooktop addition. No mention then of Washer/Dryer.

Just a regular microwave. Same one that’s been there for several years. Kitchens aren’t on upgrade schedule for a few more years. Small appliances are a blender, toaster, and coffee maker.
