We'll be there last week of August - first time since the fires. What activities have you enjoyed most? Have a car and have already done Hana and Haliakela

We visited the ocean center/aquarium- small but we really enjoyed lunch in their Cafe.
We loved Kula gardens. Kula Bistro was good for lunch.
Really enjoyed the walk along dragons teeth.
We liked walking around the Garden of Eden too if you didn’t do that on the road to Hana.
Iao valley needle is very unique (timed reservation needed).
Maui tropical plantation- nice walk and tram ride, souvenir shopping, great lunch.
We had some delicious and unique pizza at Ocean Vodka after a visit to Ala’i lavender farm.
We had some meals and browsed in Whalers village too.
I recommend Makawao town About an hours drive from kaanapali It’s an old cowboy town that has become hot as an art and fashion village. We’ve been going for years to the Sherri Reeves gallery for arty clothing and gifts but this year new shops, galleries and restaurants sprouted like crazy. Perhaps as a result of Lahaina fire. https://www.gohawaii.com/islands/maui/regions/upcountry-maui/Makawao
Shop Maui Ku'ia Estate Chocolate online or come tour our cacao farm or chocolate factory located in Lahaina Maui, where we grow Maui cacao and craft our award-winning, bestselling Hawaiian chocolate.
