Another choice: We like being served, so our preference is Feast of Lele in Lahaina. You get five courses -- each from a different island, served and described by the waiter to you -- and the usual free drinks, etc. Each course is joined by a dance from that island. You are facing the ocean with your table.

I also vote for the Old Lahaina Luau. I've never seen discount tickets for either Luau - the two mentioned are very popular and they sell out weeks in advance, so they have no need to discount them. Both luaus are just 10 minutes from the Marriott - in Lahaina.

Feast at LeLe

I have to chime in here since I feel so strongly about this subject. Having been to Maui for the first time last year, we ended our week in paradise at this luau and absolutely loved it! The food was great, as well as the setting, service and overall experience. My favorite part was eating a course related to the island while watching the dancing of the same culture.

You are seated facing the ocean, and they begin by pulling up on the beach by canoe to start the festivities. Just loved it, and we will go back again.

My only comparison was a cattle call "luau" at the Polynesion Culture Center in Oahu. While the PCC is a "don't miss" when visiting Oahu, the luau lacked all the way around.

I have heard many good things about the Old Lahaina luau as well, so I don't think you'll go wrong choosing either one, I just wanted to share how much we enjoyed Feast at LeLe.

ordered which one from the Marriott? The Old Lahaina?

I've never tried the Feast of Lele. Maybe next time relatives are in town.

Denise, have you tried it?

In fact have any of you that tried it and liked it also been to The Old Lahaina Luau?

Hi David - I've been to both and I liked the show and setting at the OLL the best.

Yan - did you get tix for the luau that the Marriott has at their resort, or a different one?
