We checked into Massanutten tonight and have found out in VA the minimum age for horseback is 10. Of course, we're here with 4, 6 and 8 y/o's. Also, due to lack of rain, there is no rafting, only tubing.

Any suggestions for maybe WV horseback riding and rafting? Also, anything not to miss?

Thx,

Aaron

thanks for the update

We are going in August and have kids (4 ,5 ,8). So I can cross out horse back riding. I read other post about some families do tubes and rafting by themselve if they have two cars, one parked at the starting point and one at the finish point. The poster even gave the GPS location of both points. They just bought themselves some tubes from Wal-Mart and save a bunches then using the company since they just drop you off and pick you up. You are by your own once in the river.

And I suppose if you want safety in numbers, you could get in the water the same time as the Mass. people.
Thanks for this idea, though. We'll have to do it if we get down in the summer.
