What exactly does it do? Is it a free week? When I tried to click through via my RCI account, it appeared I was still getting charged for a last call vacations week.

I'm wondering what I'm missing here

The bonus week gives you an exchange without using points- at the rate of the regular exchange rate-$289. You are restricted to the number of nights in advance that are listed on the cert. For most resale certs it is 45 days prior. The inventory would be similar to last calls in that it is usually only inventory with a trading power value of around 8 or below. Last calls are usually $309 ish and above depending on the unit size. So it is a little less expensive than the normal last call rates. Extra vacations and Last Calls can be lower if there are sales or glitches.

The closer the price is for an exchange and a last call with the latest increase, the less value the certificate is. Likely the last call tiers will be going up soon too.
