We have an exchange for Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club next year with a one bedroom two bath unit. Marriott’s website shows the unit as Platinum Oceanview. We’ve exchanged in many times and have been lucky to get Oceanfront most of the time with a couple of Garden units and one Oceanview unit. The one Oceanview unit we had was a one bedroom one bath in the Nounou Building. Does anyone know if the one bedroom two bath units are in the Kahili Building? Thanks! :)

Our last exchange there was a one bedroom, two bathroom unit in the Kilohana wing. The unit was oceanfront.

Our exchange said ZZBQ, which is the code for a dedicated 1BR oceanfront at KBC.

We just got back from an exchanged week at KBC. We also had an Ocean View. We were in Kahili Wing, which actually faces the ocean and gave us a nice ocean view. The only difference is there was a pool between our building and the ocean. I was very happy with the view and enjoyed overlooking the pool. I'm guessing (and I might be wrong) that Ocean Front means being in the buildings that are near the beach, down by Dukes.

The buildings near Dukes (the Kilohana and Waialeale buildings) are all ocean front. There may also be ocean front units in other buildings, but the half dozen times we have stayed in our OF unit, we have always been in one of those two buildings.

We own a 2 Bedroom Oceanview Villa at KBC and are always placed in the Kahili wing. I believe these are the ones that lockoff into the 1 Bedroom 1 Bath villas, and the Nounou wing houses the 1 Bedroom 2 Bath (dedicated) villas. I don't know if there are 2 Bedroom villas in Nounou that would lockoff. At least that is how we have always been placed when exchanging into a 1 Bedroom oceanview villa through II using another Marriott other than our home KBC.

I heard back from a rep at the Beach Club and he said the 1 bedroom 2 bath ocean view units are in the Kahili tower. :)

Marriott Kaui - should we retrade

Hi - we just exchanged into MKW through II (we are Marriott owners in Hilton Head). Our exchange code is HZZBQ. Does this have one or 2 bathrooms? Also does anyone know when these units were refurbished? The last review didn't sound too good. We can do a retrade with II and I'm debating if we should do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

HZZBQ is an one bedroom, two bathroom unit.

The units were refurbished about 5 years ago. I think the units are fine for a hotel conversion with a limited kitchen. When we wanted to cook, we used the grills a lot. I really like the fairly central island location of the Kauai Beach Club and the extra amenities it has being part of a big hotel.

There are two bedroom units there, but not very many, so I wouldn't hold out for a two bedroom.

Our last II exchange said ZZBQ, and we were given a one bedroom oceanfront unit in the Kilohana wing.
