Does anyone have any experience with the offering for an "all inclusive vacation" at select Marriott Carribbean resorts? They have advertised 70K points for 5 days or 90K points for 7 days at some very nice resorts. First, not sure if that is in addition to the points required to stay in the hotel, or if that is full amount required. Seems too cheap to be the latter. Has anyone done this? If so, would like to hear experience.

costa rica

Hi
I'm pretty sure they have resorts in costa rica but they are not vacation clubs. I thought that 70K points per person seemed high but if you have lots of points it might be okay

More information from their website

- Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort

- Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

I did the all-inclusive a few years ago when I went to Frenchman's Reef with the family. This was a similar type offering and it worked very nicely, especially for my son, who could bankrupt you on snacks and drinks alone. When you travel with my son, you always try to get an all-inclusive. It basically included everything except I think for their restuarant near the beach at Morning Star.

Marriott All inclusive

Hi

The 80k points - is that per person or how does it work?

I appreciate all the great advice !! :cheer:

Happy Holidays !!

Judy

The Reward includes two adults staying in the room, along with "children up to 12 years of age" occupying the same room as the adults. Additional adults will be charged extra onsite.

Dave?

Hi
Are you sure the reward covers 2 people, I thought it was per person

Per the T&C for one Reward with code CI5:
Reward is based upon a maximum of two adults per room. Daily extra person charge incurred for more than two adults.
The info quoted for children in my above post also comes from the details for that Reward.

that's $1,125 for a family for 4 to eat. We spend less than half of that during our TS stays for a family of five for two weeks. If I was eating out three meals per day with 5 people, I guess I would do it.

Don't forget, that total would be to eat AND drink. Depending on ones' habits, it could save some people money.

Dave, Tell me it isn't true!! We were getting ready to book the Cancun resort. I don't know why someone would think 90,000 points was cheap. That's what you get when you trade your week for points. I would think 90,000 points for just food and drink would be highway robbery!

You know how easy it is to order burgers, fries and a drink for four, poolside, and spend $60? Add another $60 for breakfast and $100 for dinner.

It can be a good deal for those who use it properly and have LOTS of points to burn IMO.
