Plans for this new Marriott Vacation Club resort location include converting eight dedicated floors into 88 timeshare vacation apartment villas in a combination of studio and one bedroom floor plans.

when can reserve?

Sales office scheduled to open March 2016. Anyone know when you can make a reservation or submit a request?

Or even how you can make a reservation?
I didn't see any reference as to whether bookings could be through AP Points, DC Points, II exchange...
A missed chance to have announced this with an integration of the AP and DC Points programmes.

This is a preliminary announcement but it sounds very similar to the announced set-up at the Mayflower in DC, which means when all is said and done there will be within the hotel re-configured timeshare units that have been purchased by MVW and will be conveyed to the DC Trust. The Mayflower was announced within weeks of the Aug 1st availability; maybe with this one we'll get a little bit more notice as far as reservations.

I'm glad to see that these timeshares-within-hotels are beginning to materialize - they were first mentioned when the DC was introduced. It'll be nice to have hotel options other than the Explorer Club.

I think this sounds more like the San Diego property. They are buying it and planing to convert units to timeshare. Not really like The Mayflower where they just bought units and will roll those units as is in to the DC system.

Unless they have figured out how to have non US properties in the Trust....this one might be a bit more problematic than just dropping them into the Trust and selling the points.

I would agree. I don't see them conveying this to the DC trust. They haven't done it for any of the European properties. The land trust is based in the USA. They can't really add foreign properties to this trust.

I think it makes more sense for them to add this property to the Asia Pacific program and come up with some way to integrate AP weeks and points with DC. I really don't know why they haven't done that yet being we are five years in to DC now.
