Does marriott have the ability to delete Facebook posts or posts here? I saw a post in the owners connection group about someone on tour being told they had to spend $200,000. It was then gone moments later.

Then someone else posted that they shared an internal email about points cost in 2 minutes lates a manger came and told them they had to take it down or would be contacted.

Sales staff probably shouldn’t be showing internal emails or telling lies and managers should be speaking with the sales staff before threatening customers/owners when that stuff gets posted.

How would they find his facebook account that fast? Are they pulling up people's socials during meetings now?

I'm not sure what they could really do if they failed to take it down. Get kicked out and blocked from future tours? It's usually best to post stuff after your out of the meeting. Then the salesperson can't bully you.

i don’t know. Seems crazy

Would you be surprised if those sales offices were bugged or on video? I have noticed times when the salesperson leaves the room for a few minutes leaving a couple there alone. Could the sales guys want to observe/listen in to supposed private conversations?

Hmm.. Nice theory.

Yeah I saw that FB post. I would have told them to stick it! On the other hand what is wrong with people posting play by play while on a sales tour. What is wrong with people. Have some common sense.

I don't doubt it at all. The same for car sales. They can listen while the sales person walks away.

If that manager approached the wrong person, that person might make certain that that manager could not walk his/her way back to their office.

Call it the Luigi Mangione Treatment.

Actually, I think Marriott Vacations Worldwide is looking more and more like United Healthcare, as each day passes.

This is an utterly tasteless and disgusting post. You keep reaching lower lows each day.

That FB page is heavily curated, its far more likely that the content was edited by admins than any form of infiltration by MVW.

I don't even understand it. I got the impression that the person that posted it to the Facebook group deleted the post themselves.

ive never been contacted by any resort developer to remove someones post for something like that. (yes, there are employees of many developers that read TUG)

now if someone posted someones personal contact details/info or similar without their permission, I have no problem removing that.

That’s what the owner said in the post I attached. But it was because a manager approached her on tour. How intimidating

Not that I’m a conspiracy theorist, but it may have been a wayward sales person who posted it under a fake ID and was quickly told by their manager to take it down immediately or lose their job.

With FB groups you never know.

Right, if it was an employee they could have some consequence, but as a outside person just taking a tour - seems very unlikely besides just getting bullied at the presentation, in which case you just leave. I'm not saying there couldn't be some legal thing around taking a picture of someone's screen in a private area (what I mean is in an office vs on a public street - photography laws are different), but I can't imagine it would be worth anywhere near the cost to a company to pursue it, forget about the reputational damage. Then again, IDK if timeshare companies care about reputation really lol.

I do feel that timeshare developers do monitor this website very closely.
Sometimes lose lips by some TUG poster can cause developers to change longtime procedures.
