To the OP, welcome to the TUG website.

How did you book this exchange thru Marriott’s or II?

That's only 6 nights, so if the dates are right, I assume its a points reservation, not a weeks-based reservation. If that is right, you can still cancel with Marriott, but you will be limited to your use of those points. You will have to make a reservation within 60 days of travel, so likely only low season availability. You could also try to rent at a reasonably low price, to recoup some of the MF cost. There are a few pretty active OceanWatch groups on FB, MVC rental groups, or Redweek/Vacation Candy. This late in the game, you'll probably need to rent at a really good price, so a place like Vacation Candy might make it more difficult, as they add $500 to your price.

If the reservation is made with destination points you can easily cancel. They will go into holding account. I have never had a problem using points in holding account. I agree with the previous comment that they probably need to be used in low season but there are plenty of great places then too.

its 2/15-2/22 sorry for the confusion....im wondering what i can do?
I assume this is a legacy week reserved through MVC. Did you call and see if MVC can help or change the reservation? Did they make the reservation for you because you didn't make one? I've seen them do this a few times though it's been a while. You can deposit with II but it's likely not worth joining if you don't belong already as it'd be a late deposit and the limitation plus fees likely wouldn't be worth it. You could also offer it for rent. You might deposit with an independent exchange company like SFX.
