Marriott Ocean Pointe-Nice restaurants Nearby?

It was not brought up as an advertisement, as I explained in the other thread. Jeez. It was a sincere recommendation.

Do you realize there are threads that get brought up from months and years ago on all types of BBS? They are there, archived, so when someone has an inquiry, they can do a search and Voila! Restaurant recommendations without having to start a whole new thread.

It's nice to have many recommendations in one thread instead of many threads started every few months with just a few posts. And, before you say "what do you know?" because I only joined TUG a few months ago, I've been participating in and involved in the running of several BBS for over 10 years.
 
Yes, Doug, I realized it was from May, 2008 but I thought it was worthwhile to post about restaurants near Ocean Pointe b/c people are always going there & always looking for places to go for dinner. Such a post is timeless.
The recent responses were not directed to the original poster but to anybody looking for info on restaurants near Ocean Pointe.

What are the prices like at Sailfish Marina? Thinking of going there for live entertainment on Tuesday or Thursday. Can you walk there from the resort?
 
Prices are reasonable @ Sailfish Marina. It' s a short walk from Ocean Pointe( under 10 minutes). There's also a shuttle from OP to SM (& return) if you don't feel like walking or if it is raining.Thursday night you can take the water taxi from the Sailfish Marina dock (weather permitting) & cruise down to Clematis St which is lots of fun! Call to reserve your water taxi times to/from Clematis. The Concierge @ OP can give you the number for boat reservations.

I am a fan of Carmines as well

I liked Carmines both times that I have been there. The pasta was great. And, they have a takeout market section that is fantastic to take goodies and mini meals back to Ocean Pointe. Funtime
