I'm going to be staying in the 2br/3ba villa / Ocean Front room.
So excited!
I heard there is construction going on.

Any advice on preferred room locations?

Thank you much!

If you're trading in, how can you be sure it'll be ocean front?

You aren't going to be bothered by the construction. The worst you could have is a side view of the property where the construction is ongoing. But, the new building is now enclosed so you will at most have landscaping, etc. In short, I wouldn't worry about it. My experience with trading in is that you are the lowest priority in terms of room choice. They may listen, but they likely won't have too many choices to make because of all the people ahead of you in line.

In my view, there isn't a bad ocean front unit in the place with or without the construction. Enjoy!

Sorry, same question got asked above about O.F. and trading.
Good luck, but don't count on it.

The view that the MOC owner had when he/she deposited with II is the same view that zergling should get. The room location depends on whether or not zerling is a MOC owner, Marriott owner, non-Marriott owner etc..

I own two weeks at the Maui Ocean Club (the 2BR/3BA - original). My weeks are ocean view. I try to get into the Lanai Tower. Doesn't get the morning sun. I've also stayed in the Molokai Tower a couple of times and it gets hot in the morning and also you can get noise from the waterfall. Doesn't bother me that much but it's there.

I was there for the construction of both Lahaina Tower and the new Napili tower. No concerns.

Glad you'll get a chance to experience
