I'm looking for a resale at Ko Olina and have seen some advertised as being oceanfront. Are there units actually deeded as "oceanfront" versus "oceanview"?
Ko'Olina only has two views available: island/mountain view and ocean view.
Oceanfront at Ko'Olina does not exist! Some units in the first building have great oceanfront views, but they are considered oceanview by Marriott.
Many people classify resorts which are oceanfront properties as Oceanfront view when selling. When you see that, it is important to distinguish whether the unit itself is OV or Mountain/Island view.
When I was looking to buy in Aruba I found many ads touting Oceanfront, but on further inquiry they were GV or OV units.
before you buy KoOlina for a view, check out neighboring construction. Some of the Marriott units we saw that were supposedly oceanview were going to be blocked quite a bit by new hotels going in next door. Oceanview, as you may know, can mean you can see "some" ocean. We bought mountain view to save the money and the aggravation. If we want to see the ocean, we go outside.
