No nights here yet. Will keep an eye.

I am personally just waiting to get back to traveling (safely). Hope that happens sooner than later.

With our bonus elite nights we should easily break 100 but not the required $20,000 spending

My wife’s 38 nights were in her account yesterday, mine didn’t appear until today, so they are clearly doing them in a phased update but in what sequence I have no idea?

Mine posted. At 80 nights. These also bumped me over the 600 night threshold for Bonvoy lifetime platinum. Now just another year to make the 10 yr Plat requirement.

(Note: Already have Bonvoy Plat via MVC Presidential, but will be nice to officially be at lifetime plat )

My wife's posted sometime last evening or early morning. Checked mine and had not been done. Checked this evening and my nights got posted.

Now between wife and I we have almost 260 nights this year so far. Quiet meaningless, as I am lifetime Titanium and she is lifetime Plat. and has Titanium status by being Chairman's club.

Pretty meaningless as we stayed 12 nights in a residence inn in Burbank ending of June. Couldn't get an upgrade from the hotel even using SNA. Checked my Marriott app at check in and it showed 2 bedroom units available. Asked and FD told me no rooms were available to upgrade me too. Called the Marriott rewards line and rep said that the hotel can choose which rooms are upgradeable. Upgrades to suites or larger rooms is a pretty useless perk. Hotel was at the most 40% occupied the entire time I was there.

Frank....you have us beat. I'm at 127 nights now and my wife is at 104 and counting..... Like the free nights at 75! We find the suite night upgrades work well overseas especially in Asia. Not so much in the US. We now have 20 to use between us until Dec. 31st 2021.

Unfortunately upgrades seem to be at the operators discretion. In your case I am guessing the hotel operator did not want to have to clean and sanitize a large unit if they really didn't have to.

I stayed in VA late last month and did receive an upgrade (yeah!). The occupancy was lucky if it were 40% but the operator was willing to give us a larger unit (two bedroom, two bath).

We always prefer a two bath hotel room when possible so each spouse can claim their own bathroom!

Those 40k free nights are great. Wonder if I can get my son a MR account? Have more than enough nights at Marriott properties so 4 people can get 75+ nights each annually. Will have to check the T&C for this.

I tried to yell from the balcony to you vol_90. We are on the seventh floor below you. Was told they put all the quarantine guests on this floor. Wonder if we can leave the floor next week Friday when we finish quarantine. Our week starts on Saturday so maybe we get to change rooms. Have you still seen the cat by the fireplace. She must have given birth as my wife saw kittens when we checkedin on Thursday.

Have been enjoying the past few days of sunsets. Also picked up a mosquito net before coming back. The mosquitoes are still bad on the Lanai at sunset. Can't seem to figure out where they are coming from. The ponds below us have fish or are chlorinated water.

So when are you supposed to leave MKO? We might be neighbors till the end of the year?

Ours were on different days too. I have had the opposite results with SNA. Last use of them in NY to go from tiny room to Penthouse Suite for 5 night stay (before world went crazy.) And now since we both have our 50 nights that gives us 20 SNA from now until end of 2021. I am Life Titanium and she is Platinum from MVCI. Credit Card is her account so she gets those nights since I get enough nights from my travel (but always come short of the Ambassador spend, used to to always get PP back when it was just 150 nights)

Awesome they put you in the Ocean Front room for quarantine. Sunset last night was awesome. We used the grill last night to cook hamburgers. We have same mosquito issues on 10th floor at dusk but the Repel DEET 25% works well. I can leave a can outside your door if needed.

We are currently at 110 nights and counting. Looks like sometime September would be the earliest I could return. Challenge will be where in Oahu can I get a COVID test and documented results within 72 hours before I get on a plane? This will be one of the requirements to enter Bangladesh.

Spending most of the mornings at the Ko Olina Golf Club, afternoons at the beach and nights working. Good routine and lucky we came to Marriott Ko Olina over one of the Marriott Florida or California resorts.

Let me know if you need anything......

Thanks for the offer of spray. We have some already packed and mosquito coils also. Got those before we left in June as the lanai was mosquito crazy at dusk.

Glad you are having a good time and made a great choice in location. Lakeshore also they had a bad mosquito problem at dusk the weeks we were there. Must be an ongoing theme this year!

Have you used up all those golf balls you found?

Choose the free 40k night for the 75 night reward. Have used those the past 2 years for stays costing $300+ a night. Great perk for doing nothing different.

I loved being PP when it was sort of an unknown level. Especially loved it when we got United Gold status. Got me to give United my business exclusively. Before that, would fly Delta or United. Even without the status I have stayed with United exclusively. Actually this year, because of the lowering of levels needed to qualify, we will make United Platinum until 2022. With the loyalty model based on spend only, it is hard to hit if not flying international or business class.

I also think the free 40k night is the best option for 75 night reward. It can be well used for a nice stay.

Remind me. When selecting both benefits, do you select the 50 night first then the 75 night? I logged in to select and it seems to be only offering the 50 night options first. Just wanted to confirm before I select...as I couldn't recall if the 75 night came next in order...or if Marriott's system was having an issue.

I believe you have to take the 50 night option first. Then after that you will be able to choose the 75 night gift. That is what I remember I did last year when I forgot to do anything till I had over 150 nights.
