Good morning all - I bought a week from Marriott in 2019 at Surf Club in order to be able to enrol my other legacy weeks with destinations. Then COVID happened so I have never used my Marriott issued II account. I have Marriott exchange weeks that I am planning to use, so the exchange fee shows up at zero (which makes sense) but it is offering me eplus - is this of any value or are re-exchanges free given this is a Marriott to Marriott Exchange?

For enrolled Marriott weeks, Eplus doens't add a lot of value since you can already make Marriott to Marriott exchanges for $0. That said, there may be some situations where you would want to purchase it;

  1. You plan to perhaps retrade into a non Marriott resort. Additional retrades would be $0 with Eplus added.
  2. Your deposit is getting close to expiration. Normal retrades are limited to the original deposit expiration where Eplus actually extends the expiration to 12 months past the checkin date of your first exchange. So if you have some deposits getting close to expiration, making an exchange and adding Eplus is a great way to make those deposits last longer.

Thanks - as for the eplus extension - would this do anything to the booking window on 2 late marriott deposits?

When you say late, I suspect they were deposited within 59 days of checkin? What are the expiration dates of the deposits?

Interval told me you could do a late deposit but only if its in the current year usage of the reservation at your home resort. Those weeks that received an extra year of usage due to covid cannot be deposited.

This was my 2021 UY that was deposited late in II because I forgot to elect (split 2BDR at MSU to OVTM + OVTG. ) Have not travelled since Mar of 2020 so I have now sitting in my II account those two weeks that were late deposited, my split 2021 3BDR from MGV (THGV +THMV) - I elected my 2023 MGR week for points and now decided to travel - Destination points have masssive premiums for the weekends so my thought was to attempt to get in through II, so I placed a request relinquishing the 2BDR for a 3BDR (UG fee applies) - Grande Vista has two resort codes in II and I added surf club in a 3BDR as option 3 as there is no way the surf club wilkl confirm to a 3BDR at the beginning of march. My thought is that I can likely book MGR on DC points, and cancel if the II hits, I am assuming that DC point reservation can cancel at 60 days before checkin without penalty...
