If you buy Heritage Club at resale, does the two rounds of golf always come with it or is it only available if you buy through the developer? I thought it was always included (thus explaining the high maintainance cost), but a resale I'm looking at through a private party said that it didn't come with the free golf. Could they be incorrect and how do I find out for sure? Thanks.

My friends bought resale and they get the free golf. It is definitely included.

Funny...I asked the seller again about the golf and again the answer was no... that golf did not come with this unit. Now I'm really confused...I thought that these units all had the golf package attached to them.

They do. Is this a private sale? If there is an agent involved you should speak to them. If not, something is strange. I just sold a Heritage club week last year and the purchasers definitely got the golf package. Why would they buy it otherwise? The high maint fee only makes sense with the golf package. Are you sure it is Heritage Club?
Edited to add: What price are you paying? not that there is any difference with the golf, just curious.

This was an ebay auction - it ended yesterday. It closed at $4700 - a 2 bedroom/2 bath. Sport season. The only thing I could think of was that this was a third party seller and they apparently didn't know about the included rounds of golf. It appeared to be a good deal... If you do a search on Heritage Club in the completed auctions, you'll see it. I asked the seller twice...and twice they said "no" about the golf. In fact, one of them was posted on the questions section of the auction. (Since the auction is over, you can't see buyer's questions anymore.)
