I have Marriott Gold Elite Status, which provides free breakfast at certain hotels.

Am I eligible for those breakfasts if I book through a 3rd party such as Expedia and pay for my rooms before I get to the hotel?

Thanks for your help.

I would imagine they would, but not sure. Marriott will match any price, so any particular reason your are booking through Expedia?

Your status and benefits will still be valid as long as they have or your provide your rewards number.

The difference will be whether or not you earn any points for the stay. If you are prepaying then the rate is usually non-commissionable which means you cannot receive points.

One also won't give elite night credit for third party stays.

I also thought that most prepaid rates through sites like Expedia would be commission-able and it is for that reason that you don't earn points.
