Marriott Bonvoy has finally gotten around to adjusting status for members, though they're a few weeks behind. What should we make of this?

So let's look at things another way. Last year (and IIRC, also the year prior), because of Covid-19's affect on travel, Marriott placed extra nights into your Bonvoy account equal to half of those for the status you achieved in the prior year. So Titaniums got 38 nights (about half of 75), for example.
This meant that if you had both a Marriott personal credit card (15 nights) and a Marriott business credit card (another 15 nights), it was easy to maintain Bonvoy status. 38 + 15 + 15 already put you at 68 nights for the following year. One 7 day timeshare stay then got you to 75 nights = Titanium for the following year.
The unknown, of course, is whether they will repeat this "gift" in 2022. The pandemic rages on, so we'll see.
I do have to agree that the pandemic has lowered the value of Suite Night Awards. They worked OK for us at international hotels, but seem of limited value at US locations. We're not traveling internationally at the current time.
