Marriott biggest or most popular timeshare program?

There are 4-5x more threads/posts in the Marriott forums than HGVC.

Is Marriott that much more popular, or do TUGGERS just happen to be Marriott owners out of coincidence?

I'll admit that I didn't do much research or company comparisons before buying HGVC in 2013.

I think it is a numbers game -- many more Marriott owners than HGVC. I love them both and they are both terrific, but Marriott is definitely the more active of the two boards. We have many TUGgers who own both and it is always interesting to get the perspective on the two systems.

I love both, for different reasons.

I am not sure what it is about Marriott that makes it the more popular on TUG. THe only other forum that has more posts is the general discussion TUG Lounge. Even Wyndham Resorts that has about twice as many owners than Marriott has only about a third the number of posts in that forum.

It would make sense that Marriott has more posts than HGVC or Starwood as it does have more resorts and more owners. I think Worldmark and Wyndham have other forms/websites that have more of the critical mass. So those forums don't attract as many owners on TUG since they have other outlets to discuss their ownership on other sites.
