Marriott and II Points Program?

Can Marriott owners join the Interval International points program? That is convert their Marriott week to II points for more trading options (i.e trading a 2 bedroom week for 2 one bedroom weekly rentals, etc). Turns out my low Hilton Head Marriott week (February) is considered a Red Interval week in their points program.

Since we have to pay for our own II membership (unlike Hyatt or other hotel TS) we should have that option, right?

No directly. Only in association with other groups like Diamond that has them. There have been rumors but thats all they are so far.

I also own at Hyatt and they have an Interval Int. Point Program, as well as an internal point program.

II has no points program for Marriott owners.
