Marriott 13 month advance booking?

Just to add confirmation. Yesterday I called exactly 13 months from the THURSDAY check in of one of my resorts. It's a lockoff and my "trader" resort. So I locked it off and reserved the following. The studio there week week 25, the 1 BR week there week 26, a 2 BR at GO week 27, a 2 BR at Surfwatch week 27 and a 2 BR at GO week 28.
Boy Dean do you have this down cold. I assume all the resorts are platinum from your reservations. I don't know how you can reserve in GO and Barony in May for July though. How do you do that. As far as I knew the 13 month priority is at the end of June right now for July.

All are platinum but there's no requirement they need to be, just be reservable for the weeks in question. Remember it's 13 months from the first week. If you had 52 week you could conceivably reserve 2 full years out.

I agree.

The key is that the check-in date for the first week in the consecutive string must be within the next 13 months. All consecutive weeks that follow that first week can be reserved on the same phone call.

Extending a little on DaveM's post....

-- this process means, depending on how many weeks you have including lockoffs, you could be booking your last week more than 13 weeks ahead, as long as week 1 is 13 months ahead. ie: If you own 5 weeks at MBP and split the lockoffs you are going to be there for 10 weeks in a row ... that's 9 weeks earlier than 13 months ahead for the last week. Try to do that with a Destination Club! :)

One point to make is that it must be more than one formal unit. One cannot have a single ownership that is a lockoff and book one portion for week one and the other for week two starting 13 months out. But if you have an additional week to throw in the mix you can book 13 months out even when locking off. In my real life example I did the lockoff and reserved each part separately then I did a combo of consecutive and concurrent weeks.

Thanks Dean for pointing out my oversight in mentioning that you must be a multiple week owner to do the deed.
