Not sure if this is the right forum to post this in; but I have the American Express Bonvoy Bevy card. This card originally gave 6x points for all Marriott related purchases. This also included Interval and was touted as a perk of the card when I originally signed up for this CC.
I noticed that a Interval Getaway purchased for a friend a couple weeks ago did not code as x6 points. Upon speaking to Amex Benefits chat; they say that Interval is no longer listed as a benefits/rewards category and is coded separately. Meaning that it only is eligible for 2x points.
It also looks like the payments made for ownership Taxes & Fees may no longer qualify for 6x points? Amex couldn't provide me details on that at the moment. I will ask them again when I reach back out to see the details of their investigation in 2 weeks.
Additionally there are some new Hotels called "City Express"; I just stayed in one of these and they aren't tagged as 6x rewards either. Amex is currently investigating this.

Maintenance fees should still qualify for the 6x multiplier. I am not sure where you ever saw that Interval International was elligble unless it was some special travel related multiplier. It was never considered a Marriott related purchase eligible for 6x multiplier like purchases at Marriott hotels.

I always received more than the 2x for Interval. I believe it was 4x for Interval, ever since it was owned by Marriott.

The Amex card only came about for Marriott in 2018 when Marriott Rewards merged with Starwood Preferred Guest. Prior to that, Marriott Rewards was only with Chase and SPG was with Amex. We have the Chase card and have never received 4 or 6 points for II. Only the standard 2 points per dollar. Perhaps you should look back through some old statements to confirm as I've never seen anyone report getting 4 or 6 points with Amex unless it was some kind of special limited time multiplier for travel spend. Perhaps another Amex cardmember can come along to confirm.

Perhaps you are thinking about Vistana maintenance fees? When Marriott Vacations bought ILG, Vistana fees were eligible for the 6x multiplier where prior to that they were not.

Perhaps Interval fee was coded as Travel? I remember I used to get 3x points for Interval with Chase Sapphire Reserve, but I think Interval fees are no longer coded as Travel anymore. Maybe someone can confirm? I just use 2x American Express free card for Interval and 6x Chase Marriott Business for Marriott or Vistana MFs.

I concur. We have never received any additional points for Interval-Transactions.

I just used my CSR less than a week ago for e-plus. The category shows as Travel, but I only receive 1X (probably because of the merchant type).

Description: II INTERVAL INT
Also known as: II INTERVAL INT
Merchant type: Timeshares

Interval Getaway was coded as travel.

Right, I have ownership only from 2020 and we have 2x Marriott Bonvoy Amex cards. I will have to go through previous statements now.

I don't think the category matters much as that can just be changed by the card holder. At least I can change it on our Chase Boundless account. Merchant type for II is "Timeshares" for the Chase card. I receive 2 points per dollar for II. Which is the same as for most other spend.
