My wife and I are traveling with two other couples to Marco Island July 5-12th. All individuals are between the ages of 35-50. One couple has rented a home for us to stay at in Marco Island. We have taken them on many trips using our time share. Two of the individuals in the group likes to cook and we will probably eat the majority of our dinners at the house. Finally, to my question. If we do decide to go out for a CASUAL dinner, does anyone have any recommendations. I was also wondering about happy hours and anywhere that offers live music.

We enjoyed Rookies, it's very casual and the food was good; sandwiches/salads etc. There's also a good ice cream shop in the same plaza which was a plus for me. If you go into Naples, we recommend the early bird special at the Boat House. Good food, nice view and reasonable. We also enjoyed breakfast at Susies and Nene's.

We usually take our guests here:

Another place we like that has a beach view is the Sunset Grill (EDIT - is now called The Tide) at the Apollo, down near the south end of Collier Blvd. They have a good cheese steak with a sunset view if you get there at the right time!

The Snook Inn has been highly recommended on TUG. We've been to Marco Island three times and have never made it over there - we're always too lazy to get out of our bathing suits to go out for dinner!!

It's one of the best places that I've been to - so far.

I'm not a big fried fish fan so usually skip Snooks but love Little Bar in Goodland (fishing village attached to Marco). DH loves the black bean soup and I love the conch chowder. I usually get soft shell crab and DH gets swordfish. Linda

You can get your fish done any way you want it at the Snook, I prefer mine broiled or blackened.
