I cannot find a timeshare calendar that some here have mentioned helps them keep track of their exchanges - month/year, destination, and what was used to trade?
There is a link for a "multi-year timeshare calendar" in the general info section, but I get an error message when I click on the link.
I remember a thread about full time timesharing a few months back and thought there was a calendar there, but I cannot find it!

TIA

Danette :)

I have heard of owners setting up a spread sheet to track info., but I don't think we have one on TUG.

The link to the Multi-year Calendar does appear to be broken - I reported it. However, it is just a calendar that tells you when each timeshare week falls each year - it is not a tracking system.

Here's the scoop - the calendar link is to a website outside of TUG. Brian is checking on it.

We also have this TS Calendar on TUG.

Denise - thanks for checking into it.

Anyone else out there? How do you keep track? I deposited two weeks (2 exchange companies) yielding 5 potential weeks of trade to use over the next two years (possibly into 2011) and that's only two timeshare weeks!

what sort of features would you like to see in said program?

I was thinking of a spreadsheet with time across the top, the week used to trade along the left, and the destination in the cell where the two connect - I could put it together as a simple Excel sheet, but figured someone else already had - no need to reinvent the wheel

Judy - did you have something else in mind - what elements do you track?

That's pretty much what I do on paper. I also note which exchange company has a given deposit, when the deposit expires, the date by which an exchange has to be confirmed and the last possible travel date (these dates are different with DAE), and which deposits are searching for what places for which dates.

Yes - since I am new to this I forgot all that very important info! Maybe include that on a secondary worksheet? I could add notes to each cell for the traded weeks, but that might be difficult to read and look cluttered. The "traded week" cell can be tied to the descriptive info on the second sheet. Obviously I am not an Excel expert, but I could put something simple together and maybe someone with more knowledge could fine tune it?

What do you mean by "time across the top"? Will you have a spreadsheet per each month of a calendar year, or will you have more months of time on one spreadsheet? And what if there are different check-in days, like Fri, Sat and Sun...and in Mexico often there's a Monday check-in too? I don't have any spreadsheet method right now, but I kinda wish I had asked Ray Harper how he did his...because he stayed in timeshares for about 5-6 months in retirement (and that's what I hope to do someday!)

I was thinking multiple months/years in time on one sheet - I am looking at some Gantt chart templates to see if that idea can be utilized.

Brian: The program should also have the columns for if you split a unit and do two different things with it like with Starwood -- use or trade one bedroom of the two bedroom units and turn into Starpoints with the other.
