Mandatory Membership

I am wondering if anyone has the exact wording from their contracts regarding SVN membership transfers with mandatory resort resales. In particular, I am looking for the wording from Bella at Vistana Villages.

Only have WKORV-N documents, but here are the relevant sections:

6.4 CLUB The Club Operator and the Association have entered into a contract or "Club Affiliation Agreement." It provides that the Plan will be a Club Vacation Plan and that each owner will be a Club member.

6.5 NATURE OF MEMBERSHIP Each owner automatically becomes a member of the Club....A person's membership in the Club cannot be separated from his Vacation Ownership Interest. Any attempt to do so will not be effective; it will be void.

Here's the language from my WKORV resale sheet:

(Club Resorts) Starwood Vacation Network Disclosure Statement:
Membership in the Starwood Vacation Network (SVN) must transfer with ownership, however, the benefit of Gold Level Membership in the Starwood Preferred Guest Program (SPG), and access to the SPG Conversion Program are not transferrable. Starpoints deposited in the seller's account will remain there and cannot be transferred.

Gary, not being sarcastic, how will having the verbiage help you? What are you trying to achieve?

The verbiage should be in the Owner's Handbook that you got when you purchased the TS. If you didn't get one, go to the Contact Us screen in the MyStarCentral site and send them an Email stating that you are an owner, and did not receive an Owner's Handbook. Include your resort and contract information and they should have the resort send you a copy. Then you can have the "joy" :hysterical: of reading through all 800 and some pages to find what you are looking for.

Greg, knowing Starwood, I am uncertain that they would provide that to a resale owner without a cost, but I'll try.

Gotcha. I was only asking to see if there was another way to get you towards your goal.

I believe that verbiage is exactly the same as it relates to all mandatory resorts.
