I have the free version of Malwarebytes but was wondering if the paid version was worth getting. Anyone have thoughts?

Here's a comparison from cNet: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html I can't remember exactly why, but I sprung for the paid version a couple months ago during an attack on TUG. I have no idea if it kept me from being infected or deflected the attack, but after using Chrome for a week or so, I was able to go back to Firefox. It seemed worthwhile to me. But maybe it just gave the developers of a good produce a little money to keep producing it. Who knows.

I use the free version once in awhile when I feel the urge for an extra boost of detection. My normal antivirus program seems to do a good job most of the time. So I've never felt the urge to spend the money to buy the fancier version, since the free one did what I wanted it to.

i think the main benefit of the pro version is that it actively monitors your system vs being a passive virus scanner.
