I was able to purchase a resale contract of 6000 credits for almost nothing. If I decided to to purchase an addition contract and my current contract is a January renewal should I be searching for an additional January contract, and what would the sweet spot (in terms of additional points to purchase) to minimize MF.
I apologize, I know there was an image of the current MF chart that I had seen, but I can not seem to find it again.
Also, any other thoughts or pitfalls of picking up a second contract?

Specifically right now I think I wouild be considering combining another 6000 credit account that is a November renewal to get me to 12,000.
I think there is a better choice for the surviving account when combining based on the renewal month?

A couple of things to consider:

1) Do the math carefully; you get one Housekeeping token for 0-19,999 credits. You get a second token at 20k credits and an additional token for each additional 10k credits after that. If you kept 2 accounts you'd get 2 HK tokens. At the lower level accounts, it is likely still economical to combine given the annual fee savings, but your usage pattern as you accumulate more points may make sense to keep separate accounts;

2) Worldmark will let you choose which account survives (so you don't have to purchase the same renewal month and you can choose which month to keep if you buy a second account with a different month). However, they will likely make you wait until a specific time to combine AND may charge you an additional $299 fee to combine the accounts;

If you are certain you want to combine then do it at the same time as you buy the 2nd Account so that you do not have to pay the $399 fee a 2nd time.

I feel that $1740 vs $1275 for the separate accounts makes sense to combine. It is just my wife and I so mostly we would be studio/1 bedroom for housekeeping fees, but you make a good point to consider…how does renting points factor in to housekeeping and renting one time use with two vs. one combined account?

Wyndham has made combing a mess when the renewal months are different. They only let you have a small window to combine and they make a lot of mistakes. On the last combine, some mistakes were in my favor and some were not. I figured I came out around $500 behind and decided to just eat it. If the month is the same it's pretty much just adding the 2 together.

Any additional credits I buy will be for my existing renewal month.
