Make Sure You Emergency Info on You When You Travel

We have a friend who was ill on a ship in Aruba and was taken to the hospital. The ship, of course, had his emergency contact (they all ask for that) but it made me think about the number of times you're on a tour or something and have no emergency contact info on your person. Just a reminder:wave:
 
Good reminder - I just realized that we have our daughter's previous address and phone numbers on the emergency contact page of our passports.

If you take more than one or two medicines, you also need to keep a small piece of paper in your wallet with all the medicines' names (generic if possible), strengths, and dosages. You never know when you will need it. I keep a computer file of this info, and print it out to bring to every doctor's visit. I tell them they can keep the paper. I keep a shrunk down version in my wallet. It also lists medicine allergies. I have one for Jerry in my wallet, too.

If you wear glasses and can't get along without them, you should also have a copy of your prescription with you.
 
A good idea is to list your contact under ICE (In Case of Emergency) in your cell phone's phone book. As a First Responder, it has worked for me in a couple of occasions to make quick contact with an injured person's family member.
