The TUG marketplace is not the only place with ads for outrageously priced timeshares. The timesharesonly website is FULL of ads for way overpriced timeshares. IMHO a better way to go about buying what you want is to do your price research (and TUG is a great place for that), choose the resort(s) you want, decide what the maximum is that you are willing to pay and then reply to these ads with the amount you are comfortable offering and let them know it is a take it or leave it offer. Likely you will get a lot of "leave its" but if this was done by buyers more often, it wouldn't take long for the sellers to figure out what they can reasonably expect to get for their timeshare and sooner or later you as a buyer will have some one say "I'll take it".

This would be an excellent opportunity for some of you to volunteer to monitor the Ads. It's a big job, but if all of you who are concerned voluteer, I think you can do it! ;)

I also think many of the owners bought their TS on installments and need to realize a certain amount of money to eradicate the debt. Of course, the problem is that they were over priced to begin with and they are not worth what is owed on them.

Thanks for all the responses, Brian.

This should now be corrected, please let me know if you see any other ads posted on the live site that are past their usage date.
