This resort is really the best Florda timeshare resort we have been to yet. Great beach ,fantastic pools, beautiful rooms and great dinning close by. The current construction is well under way but not really bothersome .The staff is super friendly and helpful. Its going to be tough checking out. I could stay here forever. If I could find one nitpick it would be the lack of a poolside towel exchange.

Sounds wonderful -- I'm envious! Crystal Shores is at the top of my list, but it's virtually impossible to trade into and it's every "expensive" if using DC points. Just curious -- how did you get your reservation?

I agree Crystal Shores has been difficult for me too. However, we did purchased a 4 day 3 night promotion from MVC for 399.00. Combined that with II getaway to Orlando when II had their last discount promotion. So we have 10 days in Fla. later this month. We are really looking forward to staying at CS. Requested a Golf Front View, not sure how likely that will happen. Anyone have any information on other views are they all water views? If we can't get Golf Front any suggest on best unit location.

Hi, we purchased the same promotion and are traveling in November. Very much looking forward to it! Was able to add two additional nights, one with destination points, and one paying cash.

We were told the view sold with the promotion is a "non-view" which would typically be a garden view at other properties, but at Crystal Shores the views are Gulf front, Gulf side, and Gulf view. I think you can see the water from almost all the rooms. There is one building closest to the water and those are all the gulf front units. The second building is behind that in a L shape, and the rooms closer to the water and higher floors are gulf side, the rest are gulf view.

So I would request the best view you can get, highest floor, and hope for the best! It's not peak season so that should help.

PS - I did want to ask the OP, can you rent chairs and umbrellas on the beach, and do you know the cost?

good to read the posts regarding crystal shores.
we are going for a week next month and I cannot wait. we had tried many
time to exchange into that resort. it was virtually impossible during the winter months. so we were very excited when we could string several reservations together for a week using DC points.

Always glad to hear of a vacation meeting or exceeding expectations. :)

Would like to know what your relative used to reserve and how long it took to get the dates.

Pool towels are fresh enough when popped in the dryer.

She said she used Vacation club points and that it was difficult to book. She could only get us 5 days. The request was put in way in advance. Originally we only got 3 nights then about 3 weeks before check in we got additional nights. We were on the side of the building 807 but still had a great view of the beach and ocean.

We have used points each time we have stayed there. We typically boom one year out.
