Hi-would like an advice- should we rent a car at the airport (lax) or try to go out of the airport to get one. I'm wondering about the company we used when we were there a few years ago- a local one - and I don't remember the name. Any help?

Thanks

Anita

Nothing special here about LAX. There are plenty of on- and off-airport choices.

It will be cheaper to rent one off-airport.

But ask yourself these questions.

How long do you need it for?
Are you returning it to the same location?
What time are you arriving?
What time are you departing?

Depending on the answers, you might want a 1-day rental from the airport until you can get to a cheaper agency.

Check Kayak for general rates. Also Costco. Check Enterprise directly.

Has anyone used atlaschoice?

Thrifty

I am renting a full size car mid October from Thrifty for 8 days all fees $159. Can't remember whether I used the Thrifty site or Southwest.
