I am considering buying a re-sale, 2 bedroom, lock-off, EOY platinum in either Branson or Orlando. My primary focus would be for trading. Any suggestion what a good price would be and/or passing ROFR?

I just bought a Branson 2bd annual lockoff in platinum for $2800(not typical) to trade and it passed ROFR. If you check the ROFR database it is the lowest annual plat. at branson that I know so far. Most others I have seen for annual plat. is $5k+ so probably if you can find EOY between 2-2.5K I would say it would be a pretty good price and my guess is it will pass. I don't think Marriott is buying back much at branson, sales are slow there and I believe they have a lot of inventory JMHO. Try to get the lowest price possible and don't worry much about ROFR especially at the resorts that your looking to buy at.

We bought our gold EOY at Branson for around $2,400 with closing. That was last year. This year, there are great bargains to be had because of the economy.

I bought my gold week from Holiday Group. I've seen Horizons on Ebay and Redweek, too.

Thank you for all the great information. I know Platinum Season consists of weeks 1-52. all year, but does anyone know where I find the other season/weeks they sell. For example what weeks are gold, silver, bronze, or sport weeks at that resort.

You can log into the Marriott Vacation Club site and bring up every resort's calendar. Horizons Branson is Silver Weeks 1-9, Gold Weeks 10-19, and Platinum is 20-52.

Platinum is not all year at Branson. They have several seasons. You can find the resort calendars here.
