You can pick up a Sheraton Broadway Plantation week (Myrtle Beach) for free here. But if you do, "adopt" a prime season week (weeks 9-43 & 47) because it can reserve a summer week, meaning it has value for more people (you probably understand that you are a niche user from your description of intended use).

If you absolutely MUST have certain weeks at certain locations, there is scant substitute for buying from developers. BUT, much of the fun of timesharing- as TUGgers do it, is the thrill of the hunt. On places like the above mentioned Marketplace, On Redweek, on eBay. You can get great resale timeshares for pennies on the original price, and find some true treasures for you and your family. And remember always, there is no such thing as a 'new' timeshare. They're ALL used. Lots of timeshares have- or have access to golf.

So happy hunting. TUG is a great resource, but is not the only game in town.
