Locusts descend near Cancun

You really just can't make this stuff up:

"Clouds of locusts have descended around the Mexican beach resort of Cancun, destroying corn crops and worrying officials in a region still recovering from the devastating fury of last year's Hurricane Wilma. ... Towns have formed pesticide-armed brigades and are winning the war against the 3-week-old plague that has left tourist areas unharmed, authorities said."

Dragonflies, Yikes

On our first trip to Cancun in April we were greeted in the afternoon to millions of dragonflies. :eek:
It was a beautiful day, some rain starting coming and they came out in swarms. I've never seen anything like it. They tried to get out of the rain and take shelter under the balconies. Lasted about 15 minutes. I would have been bonkers if I'd been out and about when this started.
Afterwards nobody could tell us if it would occur again and they acted like it had never occured before. As you can imagine I was skeptical of their stories. Well never saw them again. Chalked it up to another experience. :D

We saw that, too! Very weird.
