Never been there but we have a trade in starting this Saturday.

They have started refurbishing...
We own at the Links although we have never gone there. We bought it strictly for the RCI Points account it gave us. What I can tell you is that they have started refurbishing the units. I'd definitely ask if they have a newly redone unit you could stay in. It's worth asking. Please post when you get back and let us know how your stay went. Have a good, safe trip!

My opinion
I have stayed at this resort in North Myrtle Beach. This was probably four years ago. The resort is ok, but we found it not to be the best exchange. It was clean, spacious and met our needs. It isn't on the beach. It is an older property that seemed dark and at that time in need of an update. At that time we had planned to be in Myrtle Beach on a specific week and this is the only resort that came up for us that was a two-bedroom. If that were the circumstances again, I would stay there. However, I believe there are better and nicer resorts in that area.

We stayed their over ten years ago. It is not on the beach. Villas rooms were large. Downside was its location.
