I have been able to link (combine) my Marriott and Starwood account numbers successfully. However, I have an old email address on my Starwood account and cannot get Marriot to delete that email address and use my current email address. Trying to get help on their phone number is maddening as I am on hold forever. I tried to use the chat function on Facebook but no success there either. Anyone else with problems linking (combining) numbers?

A few weeks back, a Marriot Rep advised me they were having email address issues combining accounts. From what I understand, you don’t need your Starwood email address anymore, you only need to log into a Marriott Website, your Marriot email address needs to be the correct one.

It all depends on how you combined your accounts. You had a profile at SPG and a profile at Marriott that weren't necessarily the same. You kept the profile of which ever account you chose to combine into (you did have a choice).

Once you have combined, there is only one account and one profile (no matter whether you log in from SPG.com or Marriott.com). If something is wrong in that profile, just log in and update.

My husband is named in the merged account, is there a way my name can be linked to the account? Otherwise, if it's not possible I have to make sure all reservations are under his name. We have an upcoming stay in Nanea and it's under my name, if this can be credited, how will I change the reservation under his name?

Just add his Rewards Number at checkin.
