In London, across from Parliament they put mayonnaise on a hot dog. What a sacrilege. Your point about good food at the London Hard Rock is well taken. There's not many gourmet English restaurants in the US.
I almost always put mayonnaise on my hot dog, particularly if I have chili also on it. Even better with coleslaw. I remember having to explain to one deli owner up north somewhere why anyone would want coleslaw on a hot dog.
Fabulous is a good word. I just returned after a weeks stay there. As a Platinum member I was upgraded to a room overlooking Hyde Park, and as mentioned elsewhere, the food in the lounge was non-stop. Also, Gold & Plat are given the opportunity to have a full breakfast in the restaurant, which was just great.
It was one memorable stay and I much prefer it to Grosvenor Square, which I've stayed at twice before.
