If you run across any good (internet-based) gifts for the "hard to gift," why not post them here?

I just got a mailer for the Thomas Kinkade Collector's Society. The normal price of their membership is $65., but now you can join for $20. In addition to the membership card, magazine, pin, etc., you also get a 12" by 9" canvas "wrapped" print. Don't know if they are all the same, mine was Lombard St. in San Francisco.

I'm not a huge Kinkade fan, but its a good deal for the money, especially for the "hard to gift."

Walmart is in the music download business now and for just $0.88 per song its a great idea for music lovers. and Ipod owners

My favorite this year...

...is the Phillips digital photo frame I am giving my husband. While he's at work, I have been setting it up so that when he opens the box, I can just push the on button and the photos will start displaying. I've been through years of photos to choose the best and most memorable. I've taken trips down "Memory Lane" while doing so and have had the best time. I hope he enjoys it half as much as I already have!

I love Overstock.com. All kinds of great stuff, and reviews of the products. I bought a friend a nice necklace and an ipod accessory for my son. Free shipping, too!

I love to browse Amazon and find cool stuff under top sellers

I get a lot of ideas that way. I just picked up a decent snow thrower for Rick for $249 and with my Amazon Prime, I got two-day shipping free. I also bought our son a digital camera, same with my MIL.

Several of the kids had DVD's on their Christmas wish lists, which were way cheaper with Amazon and no battling crowds at the store.

All wonder gift ideas. Glynda, you husband I'm sure will love his gift. Like Cindy I bought all PS2 Games, DVD's, & CD's from Amazon. Plus there is no sales tax! I can remember when my son was younger I used to run around town trying to find the best deals on these items. The prices on Amazon are the same if not lower, and what convience!
Merry Christmas!

One Size Fits All.

This year everybody's getting a Chia Pet.

It's either that or a Clapper -- you know, clap on & clap off.

My folks loved the lobster dinners we sent them from http://www.mainelobsterdirect.com/Catalog/lobsters.cgi/Welcome.html

I ordered the Captain's Feast, which serves two and comes with lobsters, shrimp cocktail, choice of soup, and cheesecake. It also comes with lobster crackers, forks, bibs etc. They loved it so much that my dad is hosting a party for 16 folks using this same service as a thank you to all his friends who helped them during mom's recent illness. Great news, because now my siblings know what to get for this "hard to buy for" gentleman: more lobster gift certificates.

Most of my online shopping is done through Ebay. A package came in yesterday from Canada, and I'm still waiting for one from Florida.

I also discovered Back-to-Basics toys and have received that one already.

My dad will be getting a sign for his pond that proudly proclaims it is "PePaw's Mud Hole" from a relatively local shop that I found via a Google Search, (www.karenswoodensignshop.com)

I still have to get out for some shopping and deal with the crowds, however, or it just wouldn't be the same.

The only problem is that Walmart downloads in WMA format which is incompatible with Ipods. I learned that the HARD way!

A Watch that needs no battery

On both E bay sales (not the auction part) and the www.overstocks.com site, it appears someone has discovered a lot of old new watches.

What you need to do is search for SEIKO 5 . I have had them since VN, when the BX sold them in the 1960s for what seems to be about the same as these.

They are 21 jewels....self winding (not Swiss) some say chronographs, and most cost from $54.99 to $129.00. Some ladies, most men & military.

They are thicker than most, but very accurate, and if I didn't unscrew the back of mine from VN, (to show the kids in the classes), and break the waterproof....it might still be working.

I have two from the BX, (where they were sold) that work great. (But the steel braclet band must have shrunk)

I think they are very nice, espically for a gift. (All new from a 2000 year batch)

Yes, that's the ticket.....steel has been known to do that........LOL

Two years ago, my kids asked for chia pets. This year they're asking for clappers. Canya believe it???

NO! Not really. (NO! wasn't long enough to post.)

Most unusual gift

Probably for my 10 yr old grandson. He gave everyone a list at Thanksgiving of about 15 items he wanted. The first 10 were electronic stuff that I didn't know anything about and the last 5 were tennis items. DH previously gave him a good racket that he (DH) no longer uses so I got him a ball hopper and a can of balls. Can't wrap it so I'll have to put a large bow on it.
