BANE was a lucky guess on the blue.
I guess I get WALLS, okay CORNFIELDS have ears of corn, I know a musician has to have a good ear. Pitchers? I always said my daughter (pitcher) could hear everyone (on the bench, the growly parents, etc) but I didn't know wordle knew that. Quite a stretch for purple, overall, if you ask me.

I had to Google it. Was trying to make it baseball pitchers. I’ve never heard the saying.
