A very good day, 
YESTERDAY - I got wrapped up in the green and purple, too. Barely got it in seven, but purple sort of by default (I was thinking things that recur - like a geyser will erupt again - I wasn't thinking of it as a spring). Oh well, on to Saturday.

Finally got one solved that didn't make me scratch my head, wondering WTH they were talking about.
I have a Love/Hate (or maybe it's a Tolerate/Really Dislike) relationship with this game. Trying to like it, I really am, but I don't think I really do. It's annoying a lot of the time, and I don't think it's just me.
Some of the so-called connections they claim involve words I've never heard of, or where three make sense and the fourth word is like, "Really? You're saying THAT WORD fits here? Seriously??"
It isn't a case of them choosing a connection theme I've never heard of. I can live with what I don't know. But when the relationship is so obscure, there is no way an average person would choose those words to fit together. And it's not even a case of defaulting together at the end. Because even when the supposed connection is revealed, why they chose that word still doesn't make sense. It comes across as them trying to show how clever they are, and how dense I am. But they have the advantage, because they can claim any sort of connection they want.
And I guess the biggest complaint I have is there is no way to improve solving these, because there's no consistency in how they make their connections. Some days, like today, it's straightforward and makes sense. Other days I feel I'm shooting spitballs, trying to see what sticks.
Not really a fan. Which is why I'm ambivalent most days whether I solve the thing. Where's the fun in that?
