We’re taking Amtrak’s Empire Builder from Seattle to Chicago then staying a couple of nights at the HGVC in Chicago before taking Amtrak’s California Zephyr from Chicago to Emeryville.

I don’t believe the HGVC in Chicago has washers at this location. Any suggestions from those who had their laundry done in Chicago?

Does anyone have the front desk text number? I didn’t see it in the stick thread.

Thanks

In the HGVC resort sticky thread, the contact number is different than the front desk text number. Just wondering if anyone has the front desk text number.

If it is anything like The District in DC which is also housed in a DoubleTree than it does indeed have a laundry room.
The District is an Embassy Suites but I would bet that they do also.

My wife and I plan to take the California Zephyr this summer and use a roomette on the 2 day trip from Chicago to Emeryville. I hope you have a wonderful time on the train.

Just a fyi…

There’s a Target within walking distance .

Since we’re only here for 2 nights, hubby decided to buy new stuff (socks, tshirts, etc) instead of paying for laundry ;).

Hilton Club The District in Washington DC. Floor 3 & 4. Laundry via app or they have a credit card system on the wall to the left.
And if you sign up for the first time for the laundry app, IIRC they load enough credits to do one wash and one dry. Or there was enough credits for one wash or dry, sorry I can not remember.

The app told you when washer/dryer cycles were done. Great, so we knew when load was done. Remember, each phone can sign up for app (2 free loads). App is one tap away
