I am interested in finding a last minutes [rental]. It is only two of us going and we would like to pay the rent around the price of tug's last minute rental. Does anyone know some good sites to look? Or some lodging places to call? Thanks in advance!

Aside from Rentals Offered here, if you are a member of RCI, II or DAE you can check their last minute offerings.

ebay, redweek, myresortnetwork, etc., are also sites to check. Have not dealt with skyauction but worth a look.

Check regular rental sites and send some inquiries

I advertise a year-round rental on various sites. You may want to go to those sites that list places you are interested in and just start asking owners if they will offer you last-minute pricing. It won't hurt. I always consider last minute offers.

Keep in mind that any rental costs the owner money - such as cleaning fees and wear and tear. So a 'very low' offer will probably be turned down just because it's too close to actual costs. For instance, the cleaning fee for my year-round place is $67.50 (with taxes) so it is unlikely that someone would get a 2 night rental from me for $100 total (that would be $50/night). Not worth it to me. But if you wanted an entire week for say, $350 (also $50/night), I MIGHT do that.

Just do a search with the name of your desired location plus the words 'vacation rental' added (such as 'Daytona Beach vacation rental').
