I've never been to Las Vegas, but expect to go next spring. Is it important to be there on the weekend, or do the shows, etc. run all week long? Any other tips you care to share?

The big, tourist-centric shows generally run all week long, or only take one day a week off. Other, "name" performers, such as those who play at Mirage, Venetian, South Point, Orleans, Sun Coast, etc. only perform on weekends.

Las Vegas Is Outstanding.

Just 2 tips at the moment . . .

(1) Try to meet up with Fern while you're there. She's great.

(2) Check out Las Vegas Top 10 Values.

We love Las Vegas and go every year. There is a lot of info on TUG about shows and where to stay. Recommend you do a search on this forum and it will provide endless info. If you have specific questions, please fire away.

If there are particular shows that you want to watch you should look up the dates that they are performing before finalizing your travel plans. My sister and brother-in-law wanted to watch Celine Dion a couple of years ago and flew into Vegas in June. They missed Celine's show by a week and they were very disappointed.

We will be watching Celine Dion and Elton John next month and they are dead jealous!

Monday and Tuesday will have fewer activities but there's always tons to do in Vegas.

Agree with sptung to check dates if there's something special you want to see/do.

Spring will have nice weather :). Enjoy

Totally agree.

A group of ladies is going in Nov. We got tickets to see Jay Leno who plays Fri & Sat at the Mirage. A couple are going to see the Cirque about Michael Jackson, some want to see Celine and all of us will probably go to Terry Fator's show. Would have loved to see Donny & Marie but they are not there that week. There are tons of things to see even during the week but the schedules for next spring may not be out yet.
