The McDougall Creek wildfire in West Kelowna BC has heavily damaged the Lake Okanagan Resort this morning:


My first ever timeshare exchange was into this resort.

Stayed there a few summers ago. Was overdue for an updating but was also packed full of families have great holidays

I have a friend with a home in the area. The flames are only about one mile from her house (she is in a safe location). According to her the resort is completely wiped out.

Edited to add: I was actually supposed to fly to Kelowna tomorrow for a family funeral on Sunday. That obviously won’t happen.
