Hi All,

Does anyone have any problems with the internet at this location? I am in tower 1 and internet is so slow and every time I call the internet hotline, they always just say that they are at the limits of their bandwidth. I have been to quite a few locations and this is the first time I have had issues with internet. I know I shouldn't be working while I am here, but I need to for a couple of hours a day and being so unreliable, I can't get anything done. I am actually on my 4G wifi hotspot now to get stuff done. Just so frustrating! Just wondering if this is common or should I call a different department. Thanks.

I found it is time dependent - earlier in am people are using it for work sending large documents etc

Ko Olina has the slowest internet of any of the MVCI resorts I have been to. I read somewhere recently that they had corrected the problems, but it does not sound like they did.

I agree. We were on the 8th floor of Hale Moana last week, and the internet was unbelievably bad. Cutting in and out and really slow when it was connected.

Is the problem limited to wireless internet? Have you tried connecting via ethernet cable to see if that is any better? I believe each unit has an internet cable port as well as wireless internet.

I did try the wired version first since I consider it to be a little more secure, and I had a download to do. It was as bad as the wireless.

The time of day did not seem to matter.

I have a Macbook Air so I couldn't try the wired approach but apparently, it is the same. Just have to believe they can't have reliable internet service in 2011. We went over to Aulani Disney resort today and we were able to use their internet without issues for free when you are at the buffet and lobby area. Extremely disappointing from Marriott!!! But other than that, the resort is beautiful and people are great (besides the IT people who said that my iPhone is probably defective when I couldn't connect. lol).

We spent a week at Ko Olina this past March. I used my notebook computer quite a bit while there and did not notice any problems with internet speed or reliability. I wonder if this is a relatively recent problem.

We have owned at Ko Olina for several years and it has always been slower than at other resorts.
