We are headed to Kingsland for our 30th anniversary :D this fall with our two children and their partners - we have currently booked at 3 bdrm ground floor unit and are wondering if it is worth upgrading to a 3 bdrm premier? We like the idea of being on the ground floor - especially for easy access to bbq's etc but wondered about the noise factor above us - would appreciate hearing any pros/cons ?:ponder: Thanks!

I think it is flip a coin. We have done both and actually really enjoyed the ground unit last November. We didn't have too many feet above so it was fine. If you are close to the small pool it would be really nice to be able to walk out the patio door to the pool.

Our 30th January 2012 and just deciding where to go! Congratulations!

I personally never stayed in a premier unit in Kingsland, but I can say that having the ground floor was great. Just a few steps to the bar b que was nice. We stayed in building 5 and the proximity of the 3 bedroom to the pool, gym, and bistro was very helpful.

Im sure, like many here I enjoyed Kingsland a lot.

We stayed on the ground floor last year and loved it, with its proximity to the pool and BBQ's. I didn't notice any noise from the floor above. If I had small children, I would definitely chose the ground floor so they could just run around outside on the lawn.

This year we stayed in a 3rd floor room and loved that too, for its more private lanai and view. The lanai really expands the room. We just left the door open the entire week.

I guess my point is that you can't lose. You're going to have a wonderful time either way.
