Does anyone have any information on Kings Creek Plantation in Virginia? I am looking at it one ebay and wanted good and bad feedback. We were thinking of buying it MF 500.00 and trading it when we go to florida each year. I am very new to this and do not know if it will be worth our while. I read somewhere that this TS is somewhat close to Virginia Beach.

Are you looking to make this purchase to trade it each year for Florida?

After a lot of reading on TUG, you will find the consensus is that you should buy where you really want to go for the most part. Do you go to the same place in Florida each year? Buying to trade, you will have to pay the maintenance fee, the yearly exchange company membership fee and the exchange fee, which can add up. Don't be in a rush to purchase this Kings Creek because I've seen Kings Creek many times on eBay. Do lots of reading on TUG. If you have no interest in vacationing in Williamsburg, why buy there? Many folks have said Williamsburg is overbuilt and, therefore, reduces its trade ability. Read the threads about folks disenchantment with some exchange companies and their inability to get the trades they desire. Location, supply and demand, season, and many other things all affect trade power. Since your statement above says you read somewhere that this TS is somewhat close to Virginia Beach, it means you know don't know anything about the area where the timeshare is located and definitely shouldn't jump into this. Williamsburg is nice. I haven't personally stayed at Kings Creek, but a friend of mine did and liked it. As a member of TUG, you can read the reviews and ratings of resorts submitted by TUG members. Buy where you want to go is the mantra of many on TUG. That way if exchanging doesn't work out, you can vacation at your home resort. It's good you're asking questions. Very smart! But don't feel that you won't see another auction like the one you're looking at. Sometimes once you buy these timeshares and you find it's not what you really wanted and doesn't do for you what you expected it to do, they can be really hard to get rid of. Some can't even be given away and you're stuck. You're definitely on the right track looking at resale and participating on TUG. Good luck! :)
