On top, where title of book is, it looks like what you see on a bad photocopy when toner is low. So far the rest of the image is OK, but I leave for mexico on Saturday morning. I turned it off and held it for 20 seconds, and that did nothing.

Where can I buy a new one?? Oops, I see I can get one at Office Depot if I cannot fix it.

Or Target. Or Best Buy. First, though, call Amazon support. I have never needed it, but many people have said good things about them. There may even be a FAQ on the Kindle website.

How long have you had your kindle? I had similar problems several years ago and Amazon sent me a new one and I think it was past the warranty period.
