kentucky derby?

I dont see any timeshares located in louisville...and the 3 in KY dont seem to get a very high rating either.

are there any other relatively close timeshares to louisville if one were planning on attending the race?

You should look at these two:

French Lick Springs Villas, French Lick, Indiana (RCI 1788, II FLS)
Hotel Nashville, Nashville, Indiana (RCI 1982)

Hey Brian -
I'm from Louisville, and have been to both French Lick and Nashville, IN. Both of those places are 1hr 45 mins from Churchill downs and they are in the middle of nowhere. Perfect if you want to be away from everything, but not OK for feeling a part of Derby Week in KY. With party traffic, you are probably looking at 2 1/2 hours each way to these timeshares.

I'd look at B&B's in the Louisville area, and you should try to get it booked now. I don't think you'll find a good timeshare option.
