In general, most people put “high floor” in their pre-arrival email request and the odds of getting into Wai’ale’ale on the 2nd or 3rd floor are good (there are many owners who prefer the ‘walk out’ nature of the 1st floor villas).
But if you absolutely, positively need a lanai instead of a juliette balcony to enjoy your vacation then you should try to change to a parlor (or put in a waitlist request).
